"In late July 2023, I started writing my first children’s book called Violet’s Violin. But the story of Violet has actually been in my head for over 10 years! Violet is given a magic violin by her grandmother. As she plays, she’s transported to different countries where she finds musical adventures and ways to share her music. Many of the wonderful memories Violet has while traveling are related to my life growing up as a Suzuki violinist. Violet's Violin is illustrated by the talented Donna Harley. Donna has known me since I was a young six-year-old playing violin with her son, Guinness. Her son and I still play violin together and most recently have started performing. It has been an honor and very special to work on this book with her. I am looking forward to sharing my book and musical performances in the future!"
